The focus group for dynamic languages in BEKK invites you to learn about Test-driving JavaScript on Monday, January 24th from 14:00 to 17:00 at BEKKs main office. This can be considered a warm up to the XP-/node.js-meetup later that evening at The Scotsman.
Our speakers this afternoon will be Christian Johansen from Shortcut AS and Fabian Jakobs from Cloud9.

Test-Driven JavaScript Development
Christian Johansen is the author of “Test-Driven JavaScript Development” released winter 2010. Christian will demonstrate TDD and JavaScript in practice by walking you through a live coding session. The purpose of the session is to build a small widget and:
- Give examples of some JavaScript testing tools.
- Show one way to approach both bottom-up and top-down TDD without complicated tools like Selenium.
- Show how to unit test DOM-manipulation, ajax and timers.

Our second speaker is Fabian Jacobs from Cloud9. Cloud9 is a new open source IDE for developing JavaScript, itself developed in JavaScript (node.js). It sports many interesting features, such as testing and debugging of node.js applications.
